The Tb points given to this wine are the world’s most valid and most up-to-date evaluation of the quality of the wine. Tastingbook points are formed by the Tastingbook algorithm which takes into account the wine ratings of the world's best-known professional wine critics, wine ratings by thousands of tastingbook’s professionals and users, the generally recognised vintage quality and reputation of the vineyard and winery. The Story

Each year, we choose only the most distinct small lots of fruit grown in the red rocky soil of our vineyard on Pritchard Hill, we choose just the best barrels and blend them together to create the new vintage of OVID. Napa Valley. The wine is a blend of the four Bordeaux varietals grown here: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, varying in proportion from year-to-year but always eloquently conveying this special place.

We produce four distinct red wine bottlings from our 15-acre estate vineyard: our flagship OVID. Napa Valley wine (Cabernet Sauvignon), Hexameter (Cabernet Franc), Loc. Cit. (produced from two adjacent blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon) and our estate Syrah. In addition, we also craft our “Experiment” wines each year – always different in their origins, blends, varietals and winemaking practices.
