The Story

Jacob’s Creek Barossa Signature range focusses on expressing the character of Barossa, which is the signature region and home of this famous Australian wine brand.

Lifted blackberries, violets and clove aromas on the nose, this full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from Jacob's Creek's range has different layers showcasing the classic varietal from the Barossa region. Rich dark fruits flavours with hints of crush mint leaves surrounded by regional chocolate notes and dense ripe tannins. The perfect match to Australian red meat.

Written Notes

Smoky menthol with a little tobacco leaf and then dried blackberry. The sour, slightly green palate has a heartiness and full flavours, even if it’s just a little astringent on the edges. The balance isn’t there, but it does have some power. Best drinking: Will be better next year, and for at least five years. 16/20, 87/100. 14.2%, $19.99. Would I buy it? No.
