Davis Estates is a family owned and operated estate located in Calistoga, Napa Valley. We are intricately involved in the fabric of day-to-day operations and, together with our world-class team, are committed to building a sustainable property while crafting premiere Napa Valley wines to be enjoyed today and for generations to come.

In 2011, the Davis family purchased the century-old estate winery and began their ambitious restoration project to create a distinguished winery. Mike Davis has a long and fond association with the Napa Valley. Growing up in San Mateo County just south of San Francisco, his family spent summer vacations at the Napa Valley Ranch Club. Davis Estates is the culmination of a life long dream. Here the vision is carved from this historic site as an estate winery focused on wines of the highest pedigree.

We have vines planted in Calistoga, Rutherford, Carneros and Howell Mountain in a variety of rich alluvial, hambrich, volcanic rhyolite pale clay and boomer loam soils. The well-draining soils, vast elevation gains and micro-climates produce phenomenal fruit with a robust range of taste profiles.

Located in the northernmost region of the Napa Valley our stunningly beautiful Calistoga estate is home to Davis Estates. Totaling a 155 picturesque acres, 11 acres are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Franc. The estate sweeps up from the famous Silverado Trail on the valley floor to 1,100' at its crest. This vast contrast of elevation, combined with a wide range of well draining volcanic soils and micro-climates, creates an ideal place to grow our preeminent grapes.

Our Rutherford vineyard is located near the Napa River where the alluvial fan creates a nutrient rich, vibrant soil composition ideal for our vines. The 1.5 acres of Sauvignon Blanc are close enough to the San Pablo Bay to get some early morning fog but far enough away to have warm temperatures and an abundance of sun during the day. Here our vines thrive in the famous Rutherford Dust of Rutherford's volcanic soil providing the depth of taste, color and complexity the region is famous for.

High above the valley floor proudly stands Howell Mountain. Here with its breathtaking views, our 20 acres are sun-drenched western facing slopes. Here the days are cooler with long afternoon sun exposure and the nights are warmer than our Rutherford and Calistoga vineyards. Iron rich red clay and porous decomposed volcanic ash soils give our fruit great balance, structure and intensity of flavor.
