History

The Janisson champagne house is situated at Verzenay, one of the 17 renowned Grand Cru villages of Champagne. At its head Manuel Janisson creates remarkably fresh and intense champagnes.

The Brut Tradition embraces great finesse and superb fruit, as does the rosé, with its appealing smoothness. The cuvee Bleu is a round, delicious Blanc de Blancs with notes of yellow fruits. Janisson propose a remarkable range of Grand Cru champagnes. The Grand Cru blanc offers rich, complex and full aromas with good length. The rosé version of the Grand Cru is more spicy and fruity, with a supple and overtly gourmand palate. And the Blanc de Noirs is delicately vinous, with excellent aromatic breadth.

Winemaking

Wines are vinified separately in accordance with the plots, partly in stainless steel vats and partly in oak barrels. They are usually subjected to malolactic fermentation for some wines, however, it is partially blocked sometimes for certain champagne.
Champagnes Janisson & Fils are wonderfully pure and full, harmonious and very fruity. They have gained complexity in recent years, especially the grand crus that are powerful, elegant and long. These are champagnes that go very well throughout the meal, with fish as well as with meat.
