La Pieve is a farm located in the hills of Montaione, a place of extraordinary beauty and integrity set in the precious diadem of the Chianti, which has always been known and appreciated throughout the world. The excellent wines produced on the farm ensue from the perfect combination of a land with an incomparable vocation for wine–making and the great passion for authenticity that the Tognetti family carefully complement with professionalism and technology.

The vineyards of the farm, approximately 15 hectares of the most typical species of Tuscan vines and other selected grapes, stretch over the land at an altitude of 240 to 500 metres.
In the vineyards of La Pieve (240-300m) we cultivate Sangiovese, Colorino, Ciliegiolo, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, whilst the vineyards of Rodilosso (500 m), give us the best fruits of the Pinot Nero, the Gewürztraminer and the Sauvignon Blanc.
Every year around 1000 hectolitres of wine mature in the cellars where the most advanced wine-making technology goes hand in hand with the use of traditional oak casks for ageing. The wines produced with these methods have gained the appreciation of the most exacting consumers.
As well as wines, the farm produces an out standing Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, produced from olive species typical to Tuscany (moraiole,frantoie, belmonte, pendolino) harvested by hand and cold pressed with millstones.
In addition the farm produces wine distillates and other authentic specialities of the region.
