History
Imaginaerum" 2010 from the Spanish Ribera Del Duero wine region was produced by an estate selected for its quality wines by Tuomas Meriluoto a Finnish Master of Wine (MW). The idea behind the wine and its label is based on the release of the new album "Imaginaerum" in 2011 by the Finnish band Nightwish.
The hand-picked Tempranillo grapes used for this wine are up to 100 years old planted on sandy-clay and limestone soils. As for the winemaking, stainless steel vats are used for the fermentations that will last about 25 days, the wine is then aged for 14 months in mainly French oak barrels and some American oak. The wine may be cellared for up to 10 years knowing the aromas and flavours will evolve.
Pvins: The wine shows an expressive nose of Cocoa, red plum, boysenberry with hints of vanilla. Well-integrate smooth tannins, bright flavours of cherry, raspberry and toasted almond, with hints of licorice and black pepper on the long finish. Modern style, balanced and clean.
