Santa Julia

Founded in the early 1990s, Santa Julia is one of the emblematic argentine wine trade marks, in the domestic as well as the international markets. Santa Julia is a clear example of the combination of the quality and diversity of Mendocinian soils, resulting in modern wines. Among its diverse range of grape varieties we find the classic Malbec, Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as other rather unconventional varieties in Argentina such as Viognier, Pinot Grigio or Tempranillo.

Created in honor of the only daughter of José Zuccardi, Santa Julia represents our commitment to achieve the highest of quality standards; developing sustainable policies that contribute to environmental care while being useful to the community we live in.

Ruben Ruffo is a fundamental piece in the production of Santa Julia wines. "The essence of a great wine is the attention to detail" Ruben obtained a degree in Enology at the Juan Agustin Maza University in Mendoza in 1990.  Since that he made ​​more than 20 vintages in the winery.

In order to improve his technique and gain experience he has made ​​numerous trips and vintages in France; Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Catalonia, Spain; Verona in Italy.

He is an enthusiastic winemaker who shows demand detail and passion for what he does. He has married 12 years ago and has three children, thoroughly enjoys a good meal together with friends enjoying wines.
