The Story

Our Carneros Chardonnay shines with tropical fruit, citrus blossom and pineapple aromas. A hint of vanilla precedes flavors of peach, brown sugar and bright citrus. Vanilla returns with scents of oak leading to a long, supple finish. A classy wine to sip

Wine Information

2010 Carneros Chardonnay

WINE

on its own, yet, as always, can be paired with an array of fish or fresh fowl.

The 2010 growing season started off two weeks late compliments of a cool spring coupled with late rains followed by a an even cooler summer. Brief and inconsequential heat spikes resulted in late ripening reds. Early winter rains threatened a few lingering blocks of cabernet in late October. Once the fruit started to come in, half of the harvest was picked in less than a two-week period. Overall the crop was lighter by 25% in some cases. In spite of the challenges, the harvest provided quality, concentrated fruit that will translate into some memorable wines.
