Here is a wine that seems to transcend both our overall experience of “Meursault” with bewitching overall focus and precision, and the, at times, erratic nature of the vintage with its spellbinding beauty. An apple laced mineral compote seems to swirl on the bouquet, with just a touch of lemon zest. It opens with a compelling blend of apples, pears, and a bit of butter, amidst beautifully enveloping acidity. There is a crispy zestiness to the mid palate. You then get more apples, some honeysuckle, some stones, pure and full of energy, gorgeously complete on a rousing finish. 96 Points
