93 Points - jamessuckling.com, October, 2015

I like the phenolic character to this wine. It’s like tasting great riesling from Alsace 30 years ago. Full-bodied, dry, and very fruity. Lots of dried fruit and mineral character. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold. A wine for aging.

92 Points - Vinous, February, 2016

Gold-tinged straw. Honey, mineral and almond paste nuances complicate ripe citrus fruit aromas on the bright nose. Fresh and vibrant on the palate, showing expansive flavors similar to the aromas. Chamomile and balsamic nuances linger on the juicy, long back end. This very forward Riesling is drinking beautifully but will easily last another ten years in a good cellar. -Ian D’Agata

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast, April, 2016
Notes of tart apple, fresh orange and yellow mirabelle plum announce pure-fruited

joy. These flavors pervade nose and palate and are even more highlighted by a zesty, bright, lemony freshness on the concentrated, almost lip-smacking palate. This is dry and refreshing, taut and concentrated with a lasting, lemony finish.

Wine Information

This wine has a nose of candied yellow fruit (peach, mango) but also with subtle notes of acacia flowers, enhanced through the subtle mineral notes. On the palate, this wine is structured with a lot of depth, notes of white peaches, and highlighted by the soft minerality brought by it’s origin: The Grand Cru Kaefferkopf. To appreciate now for its vivacity, or keep 8 – 10 years giving more complex favors (more minerality).

On the nose it is intense and refined. The taste is fruity, vivid, refined, and dry, and high in acidity, light, with perfectly balanced, well-structured and concentrated structure. On the palate it is layered and has white fruits, petrol and floral flavours. The finish is long, lingering and pure. This wine is fine. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years.
