The Story

The Noble Cuvée range is the ultimate expression of the Lanson style based on a rigorous selection of grapes exclusively from Grands Crus vineyards, Its fruity, fresh flavour is enhanced by the extreme delicacy of the Chardonnay grape variety – a major component in this blend.

For the Brut, only 10 vintages were selected in the last 30 years. This 2000 embodies the excellence of Champagne Lanson, with the last vintage reminiscent of famous vintages. Perfect with oysters, fish terrine or lobster.

TASTING NOTES

Pale gold in colour, with a myriad of fine bubbles. White fruit aromas are enhanced by mature and complex notes of honey and spices. A subtle blend of summer pears and citrus fruit flavours.

Vintage 1998

Formats: Available in bottes (75cl) and Magnums (1.5l)
Ageing: Minimum 5 years
Blend: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir

Number of crus: It is a subtle blend of Pinot Noirs from Verzenay and Bouzy and Chardonnays from Avize and Cramant. The blend’s vertical momentum gives off more elegance than power, more refinement than abundance.

The epitome of the Lanson style. Lanson first created this Cuvée de Prestige in 1979. Its bottle is a replica of that used by the House in the 18th century. Made from a rigorous selection of grapes from grands crus vineyards, Noble Cuvée Brut Vintage is a perfect embodiment of the House’s style.

Tasting Notes
Lanson’s Noble Cuvée Brut 1998 is the perfect champagne choice for all of life’s important occasions. It is delightful when paired with oysters, a fish terrine, a lobster salad with hints of citrus or honey chicken.

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is green-yellow and light. On the nose it is open, refined, fresh and tempting. The taste is firm, refined, rich, round, fresh, and dry, and high in acidity, with perfectly balanced structure and youthful. On the palate it is layered and has coffee, white fruits, herbs and creamy flavours. The finish is long, lingering and round.
