Disgorged in June 1998. Only produced as a magnum and never available on the commercial market. Incomprehensibly youthful in every aspect. I decanted the wine in a carafe as an encore after a very comprehensive vertical tasting of Clos des Goisses. The forty-year-old wine continued to bubble like raspberry soda and was very bound in the nose. Only the aftertaste had a smoky and oaky undertone that revealed a glimpse of a certain maturity. Exactly the same impression at the Millennium Tasting at Villa Pauli.
