The Story

Grape varieties: Carignan, Maule Valley

Ageing: Aged for 11 months in French oak (30% new oak and 70% oak second year)

Tasting notes :
Intensely pigmented colour of ruby. Floral and fruity aroma on a background of toasted notes from the cask. On the palate it’s expansive and develops beautifully. The notes in its aroma are now complemented by hints of bay and mint.

Serving suggestions:
Ideal with patés, duck confit, rice with meat or vegetables, delicatessens, roast or barbecued beef, ragouts and beans stews

Written Notes

Dark purple red with violet hue and almost black core. Expressive, complex with well concentrated fruit, blackberries, plums and black cherries, hints of dark chocolate, discreet roasting aroma. On the palate rich but elegant with excellent length and depth, fine tannins, ripe fruit and hints of gingerbread spices. An excellent example for a rather unusual variety in Chile.
