Again the Thomas Block. Alcohol is down to 12.5%, a good thing. 2005 was at 14.5%, so we are headed in the right direction. That said, I struggle with McLaren Vale chardy. Does come up with some very decent drinks but for me, hardly truly great chardies.
This one seemed a smidge dull, certainly broad. Much more moderated in oak than the 2005, but I’m not sure just what is replacing it? There is a nice flick of acidity on the finish.
