Founder, Dr. Christopher Rawson Penfold emigrated from England to Adelaide in 1844, bringing with him vine cuttings from the South of France. He established the Magill vineyard and winery, marking the beginning of one of the worlds great wine stories Penfolds Koonunga Hill Chardonnay is sourced from multiple Australian wine districts including significant contributions from the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley.
