Wine Description
The Story
Our iconic wine Tara-pakay, that means "Hidden Tree" in quechua language of the natives of the north of Chile, has intended to reflect the noble origin of our vineyard which, like a tree, is rooted in the deepest realms of chilean viticulture and has grown prolifically since 1874. This limited wine production has been made of the finest grapes from the terroir of Isla de Maipo, a privileged origin in Chile for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah production.
Tara·pakay shows outstanding maraschino cherry, blue and briary notes, along with spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. These aromas are well-interwined with the smoked, toasted and vanilla notes, which are followed by more complex touches like cigar box, forest floor, black pepper and dark bitter chocolate. All these features create and envelop a volume wine, with ripe solid tannins which explode in the mouth and lend to a sweet, delicious and long finish.
