Kamptal
A valley defined by a river, the wine and its people. Where the Kamp river had carved deep gorges in the bedrock, there is now the Kamptal – the wide Kamp Valley - where the bedrock meets loess. And where wine is at home. At the very end of this valley, the Kamptal opens up, as if it would spread its arms wide open to the Danube. Hot and cold – this defines the typical Kamptal climate that gives the wines their clear, spicy-fresh character; dry wines that are conquering the kitchens of the world because everyone knows how to appreciate their clean, elegant lines. That is why Grüner Veltliner and Riesling stand for their origin. And “Kamptal DAC” identifies them as origin-typical wines.
Gumpoldskirchen
Curiosity, friendship, a remarkable terroir that's very different from that of the Kamptal, and wonderful autochtone grape varieties: these are what led us to Gumpoldskirchen. Here – where Alpine influences meet the Pannonian climate – powerful wines with depth, character and long life are produced. There are the white varieties, Zierfandler and Rotgipfler, and the red variety, St. Laurent, along with the Burgundian grapes Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which were brought to this area in the Middle Ages. All of these varieties are what define the origin-typical wines in the area south of Vienna.
Niederösterreich
This is the vast wine region surrounding the Danube river. This is also Austria's heartland. And the wines here are as diverse as the landscape. Our curiosity has always been responsible for creating something new: new in a traditional environment – perhaps not typical for the origin, but certainly typical for Loimer. Uncomplicated and fresh - light yet powerful white wines, red wines and sweet wines as well as other specialities have found their home in the diversity of Niederösterreich.
