The Story
Grapes used for Quinta Vale D. Maria Douro Reds come from all the oldest plots of the quinta, averaging some 60 years of age, and covering a broad spectrum of more than 40 different Douro traditional varieties, among them Tinta Amarela, Rufete, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Francisca, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Sousão, and many others. These have been carefully chosen after many years experiencing its incredible high quality results, and normally averaging 14° Baumé.
