The Story

In 1989, Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud became the proud owners of a small plot of land of 0,6 ha, in the valley of Saint Emilion, between Pavie Macquin and La Clotte. In 1991 they produced and bottled their first vintage. Since then, their estate portfolio has grown with properties in Saint Christophe des Bardes, Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens or Saint Etienne de Lisse.

Vintage 2010

Drought and cool temperatures contribute to optimal ripeness

The sum of summer temperatures in 2010 was close to that of summer 2009 (962°C compared to 982°C), but significantly colder than those of 2005, which totaled 1052°C. These cool temperatures had a substantial influence on the balance of our wines, preserving a good level of acidity and an attractive aromatic freshness.

Written Notes

Intense purple red colour with almost violet hue. Rich nose with a great similarity to 2009, aroma reminiscent of sweet berries, blackberries, blackcurrants, elderberries, mulberries, slightly smoky in the background but also some vanilla. On the palate sweet fruit, ripe tannins, good depth and length, smooth, velvety tannins, fine acidity adding freshness and enhancing the complexity.
