The Story
The Blueprint is Lail Vineyards' modern interpretation of Cabernet Sauvignon, capturing the abundant sunshine of Napa Valley and transforming it into intensely flavorful wines meant for early release and enjoyment in a delicious, crowd-pleasing style. Whimsically named “Blueprint” as a nod to Jon Lail’s highly regarded architectural design achievements, this gorgeous Cabernet hails from impeccable vineyards and is made by a great winemaker.
The 2015 vintage the fruit was sourced from six premium sites across NApa Valley: the three vineyards used for the flagship J. Daniel Cuvée (Mole Hill, Heimark and Vine Hill Ranch), complimented with the Lambert Vineyard in Coombsville, the Evans Vineyard in Soda Canyon and the San Savino Vineyard in Yountville.
The wine spent 18 months in French oak, of which 40% was new.
