La Marca Prosecco is named for the La Marca Trevigiana zone, located in the heart of Italy's Prosecco region, where grapes for our Prosecco are grown. Founded more than 40 years ago, La Marca winery joins tradition and innovation, crafting award-winning Prosecco that captures the essence of the region in every bottle.
With delicate, golden straw color and lively effervescence, our Prosecco opens with aromas of fresh citrus, honey and white flowers. The palate is fresh and clean, with flavors of ripe lemon, green apple and grapefruit framed by mineral undertones. The light finish is refreshing and crisp.
Appreciated for its festive style, Prosecco is a sparkling Italian white wine that's quickly becoming a staple for stylish hosts. Crafted in the Charmat method of sparkling winemaking, Prosecco undergoes a second fermentation prior to bottling, resulting in a lively bubbly style and refreshing quality. The elegant glera grape, grown in the verdant valleys and hillsides of Italy's Veneto region, is the principal grape used to make Prosecco.
Prosecco is distinct from popular sparkling wines made elsewhere, including Spain and France, thanks to the unique terroir of the vineyards in the Prosecco region and the special character of the glera grape. Ample daytime sunshine, followed by cooling winds at night, ripens grapes to an ideal level while retaining sought-after, juicy acidity. The result is a layered, flavorful dry sparkling wine with lifted floral aromatics and refined profile that adds sparkle to any occasion.
