Pere Ventura's family has marked the history of Spanish cava. In the late 19th century, Pere Ventura’s great-grandfather was responsible for the birth of the first Spanish cava made according to the champagne method. Pere Ventura’s grandfather and father, in their turn, helped shape the history of cava wine with their spirit of continuous improvement, their knowledge of the land and the vine, and through their perfecting of the spanish cava production process.

Building on these strong foundations, Pere Ventura has forged a business and created a philosophy and a savoir faire in keeping with the times. Within the Cava House which bears his name, there is only room for the very best cava sparkling wine. Production is dictated by two requirements: innovation and quality. Indeed, for Pere Ventura, heritage is not just something you receive, but something to be shared.

Just after he turned thirty, Pere Ventura made the most important decision of his life. He set about creating a Spanish Cava House and a brand that bears his name, stamping them both with his strong personality. The Pere Ventura Cava House was born in 1992.
Thanks to the tenacity, enthusiasm and character of its founder, this Sant Sadurní d’Anoia Cava House has successfully conquered the most challenging markets.

Pere Ventura enjoys a strong international presence and his cava wine has carved out a place for itself in the world's finest establishments. However, the Cava House founder is not yet satisfied. His crusade continues and the force of his winery grows ever stronger. At Pere Ventura, we remain committed to innovation, quality and excellence in order to create the best cava for you to enjoy in good company, whenever and wherever you want.

Spanish cava is the fruit of the land. Land which receives our loving care. At Pere Ventura we believe in our land and know that it is only by cherishing it, that we shall receive in return. We therefore have absolute respect for our terroir’s environment. We are proud to have been born in Penedes, a region southwest of Barcelona, and the birthplace of great wines since time immemorial. Penedes is a unique location, situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, diverse in soils and microclimates, which gives our cavas great expression and a typical character.
At Pere Ventura, we are committed to native cava grapes: Xarel.lo, Macabeo and Parellada, although a touch of Chardonnay is added to some of the white cavas. We like to use the Trepat and Pinot Noir cava grapes to give character to our rosé cavas.

Pere Ventura has opted for sustainable viticulture, based on a code of good practice which includes shunning the use of herbicides and pesticides. We carefully plan the work required in the vineyards to ensure that, as a consequence, interventions are kept to a strict minimum. The cava grapes are picked by hand when they reach perfect ripeness. Finally, Pere Ventura selects the best bunches which will bring out the finesse, subtlety and brilliance of its cavas. When the time comes to savor them, you will discover that the land never lies ... and that Pere Ventura's work and commitment have not been in vain.

Once harvested, each grape variety is vinified separately to obtain its greatest expression. Our own indigenous cultured yeast is then added in order to transform the base wine into cava sparkling wine. This yeast brings on a second fermentation, this time in the bottle, lying deep in the cellars.

At Pere Ventura we wanted our underground cellars to emanate timelessness and tradition. The rest of our facilities exude elegant, contemporary design, while our production area is a showcase of the latest technology. With the automation of all its processes, Pere Ventura leads the way in the use of cutting-edge technology in making sparkling wine in general and cava production in particular.

But deep down in our cellars, there roams a spirit that neither the hand nor the mind of man can capture: the spirit of time. Time ruled by darkness, by silent repose, indifferent to night or day, rhythms or labors. Absolute time which conjures up the past, present and future within each bottle ... eighteen months, is the very least. And for our vintage cavas, over thirty.
Pere Ventura has signed a covenant with time. Down in the cellars, tradition reigns. But up in production, innovation rules.
