Joachim Binz - Born in the Mosel valley, Joachim started working in a winery already in the early age of 16 and was trained in the international wine business. He worked there successfully as Export Manager until the end of 1999 when he decided to set up his own business. In the year 2000, Joachim founded WINECONSALE with the intention of bringing only the best German quality wines to international markets. The focus is on dry, high-end Riesling suitable for the Restaurant business all around the world.

Marc Pohl - Marc has been trained in Hotel and Restaurant Management and gained experience in both Germany and the United Kingdom. Amongst others, he worked in the Hotel Traube Tonbach including the 3* Guide Michelin restaurant “Schwarzwaldstube” and the country hotel “Gidleigh Park” in Chagford, Devon, UK.

During that time wine became Marc´s favorite beverage. He particularly likes Riesling as it is the grape that offers the most fun. During his studies in Heidelberg Marc participated in various local wine challenges and broadened his knowledge. He joined WINECONSALE in 2003.

Wineconsale strives to bring great and exceptional German wines to connoiseurs in all countries. We are not an agent; in the tradition of “Négociants” we consider ourselves as being people with a deep insight into a certain region, the producers in this region and their wines. Our region is Germany and all wines we present are of 100% German origin. “Made in Germany” is a symbol for TOP quality in many different industries and we would like to apply it to wine. 

Wineconsale is in close cooperation with a small but well selected number of producers whose wines are great and sometimes exceptional. We are able to offer these wines exclusively to our partners all around the world. We believe that winemakers should first of all produce wine and be focused on the production in both the vineyard and wine cellar. Furthermore, they have to sell their products on the domestic market. Wineconsale supports these producers in their international business and together we can offer an efficient, quick and reliable service
