Château Cruzelles

In Robert Parker’s Guide to Bordeaux Chateau Les Cruzelles is rated as one of the `outstanding` Lalande-de-Pomerol chateaux. This 10-hectare estate is under the eye of Denis Durantou, a renowned Bordeaux winemaker from l’Eglise Clinet, whose reputation as ‘the man of the soil’ couldn`t be more of an understatement. The vineyards are planted with 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, with a small production of around 2000 cases per annum.

This 10ha property in Lalande Pomerol is only 1 km away from the plateau of Pomerol and belongs to Denis Durantou since 2000. It borders on Néac, it is visible from Ch. l'Eglise Clinet and has a clay-gravel soil as in Pomerol.
