History
Named after a family of Hugenot ship owners who bought the Barsac property in 1777, the vines themselves go back to the 16th Century. Included as a second growth in the 1855 classification, Nairac garnered a reputation, back then, as one of the appellations finest sweet Bordeaux wines.
At 17 hectares, it is relatively small, and planted in 90% Sémillon, 6% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Muscadelle.
