In 1903 in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Alexandre de Mayol de Lupé and Félix de Cholet decided to join forces to create the House which still bears their name, Lupe Cholet. The Cote de Nuits wines are all fermented at the historic Lupé-Cholet cellars in the centre of Nuits-St-Georges. Estate holdings include both red and white vineyards around the beautiful Château Gris (which belongs to the company), on steep terraces above the town of Nuits, as well as the Clos de Lupé, the original walled vineyard surrounding the cellars in Nuits.
