Terre del Barolo winery was set up on 8 December 1958 by Arnaldo Rivera, distinguished teacher and mayor of Castiglione Falletto, and 22 growers in the various villages in the neighbourhood. The number of partners soon grew to 40, and by the first harvest in 1959 there were already 362 members.
