This fabled Ruffino wine has been one of our most prized since it was first released in 1927. Riserva Ducale is crafted using modern winemaking techniques to enhance traditional Italian methods, and is widely acknowledged as a benchmark for Chianti Classico Riserva.

Written Notes

Garnet colour with slightly brick red hue. Opulent nose with mature character, aroma reminiscent of balmy spices and macchia, walnuts, dried figs, ripe black cherries and hints of cherry stone. On the palate well structured with firm tannins, mild acidity, mature fruit quoting the nose, convincing length with an elegant finish. Fine toasting and oak spices as well as graphite in the aftertaste.
