Dominio de Tares

Not very deep soils and subsoils chic in mineral compounds generate high quality wines, with fruity and mineral expression, exact reflection of the terroir they grow up.

With the grapes from these vineyards, aged from 40 to 100 years old, Dominio de Tares produces its wines under the D.O. Bierzo.

From 400 to 900 meters of altitude over the sea level and with different locations and slopes, our vineyards with Gobelet vines make a map of soils and terroirs which portrays and characterize this winery.

Manual harvesting allows us to select the grapes in the vineyard, even before coming to winery.

Vinification is made pago by pago, plot by plot, in order to respect the identity of terroir.

Ageing is carried out in French and American oak barrels and lasts from 4 to 18 months in underground cellars where temperatura and humidity values stay naturally stable.

Dominio de Tares wines are produced following the ancient tradition in order to obtain all the potential from each and every pago, respecting at maximum the character of the indigenous varieties and their soils.
