The 1998 – a wonderful golden colour, this was a most mature wine, but still more than alive. Rich and bold, notes of lemon crème pie, stonefruits and beeswax are to the fore. The nose was quite refined, yet the palate was the opposite, wonderfully exuberant. A really enjoyable mature champagne. 95.
