Wine Information
Variety: 100% Carmenère
Appellation: Colchagua Valley
The grapes come from a selection from the finest vineyards for producing our Carmenère, located in areas with climatic conditions ensuring a maximum aromatic expression of the variety.
The area has a temperate Mediterranean type climate, privileged in its natural characteristics: surrounded by the Andes mountain range, with a certain degree of maritime influence converging through the transversal valleys, this results in areas with varying temperatures appropriate for adapting the varieties to their particular needs.
Vinification
The grapes are hand harvested and kept in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures for three days to prevent fermentation. Fermentation then takes place at 25 °C, using selected yeasts. As soon as alcoholic fermentation is complete, the wine is quickly separated from its skins and seeds.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Intense violet red in colour. Red fruit aromas combine with hints of spices and pepper. On the palate, smooth tannins and medium body. Spiced aromas and toasted notes combine on the palate. Medium persistence.
