Medium deep colour. Lead pencil cedar wood, blackberry aromas. Fresh slightly woody wine with plentiful cedary vanilla flavours, dark fruits and stringy long tannins. Finishes long and chewy. Very elemental, but should integrate with time. Tasted at the Union des Grand Crus. 91 points
Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Aromatic nose with distinct oak influence, excellent toasting aroma, toasted gingerbread, ripe fruit, blackberries and blackcurrants, on the palate well structured with depth and length, fine tannins and sweet berry fruit. One of the best Fonréaud ever tasted en primeur. 91
