The Story

Château Giscours (Margaux AOC): This Classified Growth in 1855 is the first label of Château Giscours. It is of great finesse and elegance. Delicacy and power are combined in this flask to bring you the elegance expected of a great Margaux wine. The aging potential of this great wine is between 8 and 20 years or even more for the most exceptional vintages.

This tradition, inseparable from the greatest wines in the Medoc has passed down the generations at Giscours.

In recent years, a young dynamic team has combined this ancestral expertise with the latest technology: the team takes a permanent care of the vines with the passing seasons, hand-picked harvests are the subject of special attention, and plot by plot management is constantly refined with substantial investments in the vineyards…

Ruby. Blackberries, spices, anise, detailed nose, blueberries and raspberries. Fresh acidity, ripe tannins. Fresh, fruity, dark berries, anise, spices, detailed, long and firm. The most structured from Margaux this year. 93-95

Medium deep colour. Intense dark chocolate, dark cherry, mulberry aromas with graphite notes. Fresh an dinky textured with lovely pure cassis, mulberry, cherry fruits, supple almost silky textures, attractive mid palate density and supporting fresh espresso oak. Builds up firm and tight with lovely mineral length. Very good. Tasted at the Union des Grand Crus. 95 points

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Rich and aromatic character with succulent dark berries, aromatic toasting aroma, coffee and dark chocolate, oriental spices in the background. On the palate well structured and balanced with ripe but firm tannins, excellent length and juicy fruit. 94
