The Story

Feminine and seductive, due to the dominance of the Merlot, Château GAZIN's wines can be enjoyed after a few years in the bottle, but usually they are worth laying down for fifteen, twenty years or more. Written Notes

Château Gazin 2001 Big, dark, brooding nose with coco, dark chocolate, coffee beans, meat, olives and just a whiff of dark cassis fruit. There’s a real concentration of fruit underneath all the savouy complexity which ads leather with more air. Needs plenty of air to really open up. Full bodied and concentrated palate with more fruit than the nose, dark plums and degenerated cassis, dark expensive chocolate and coffee. Long and very smooth with persistent tannins that follows through the mid-palate into a long, savory finish. Big and concentrated. Needs time, perhaps even plenty of time. Very tasty. 2017-2026 92p
