Carmes Haut Brion – as impressive as tasted 5 days before at the property, great fruitness, sweet, splendid complexity and structure, velvety. Long finish. 94+p

Dark purple red with violet hue and black core. Opulent nose with expressive fruit, ripe plums, sweet blackberries and hints of berry jam, well balanced oak influence. On the palate ripe fruit, juicy character, mature tannins and excellent length.

Deep colour. Elderberry, blackberry aromas with liqueur cherry notes. Fresh elderberry juicy fruit with supple yet grippy extra fine tannins, lovely mid plate richness and flavour length. Very elegant style but looking well balanced. 94 points
