This plot has shallow to average depth soil, mainly limestone, characterized by a clay-silt structure, and is impressive for its very old vines (some of which are eighty years old) that have been pruned using the Cordon de Royat method.
With an area of 0.55 hectares, the Echezeaux plot is located in the Orveaux combe, to the south of the Musigny appellation.
