Written Notes

The 2018 Chambertin Grand Cru contains 100% whole-cluster fruit this year and sees 50% new oak during its élevage. It comes from three parcels. The exquisitely defined bouquet of mineral-driven red berry fruit unfurls wonderfully in the glass. The palate has stunning definition and a killer line of acidity that cuts through some of the purest fruit I encountered in over 100 visits in the Côte d’Or. So delicious that I had to take a cheeky sip of this elixir. One of the wines of the vintage.
