The Story

Château Le Pin, or simply Le Pin, is an unclassed Bordeaux wine from the appellation Pomerol. There has never been an official classification of Pomerol. Even so, Chateau Le Pin commands prices that put it at levels equal to the best wines of Bordeaux. The unusually small estate is located on the Right Bank of France’s Gironde estuary, and its wine is periodically one of the world's most expensive red wines. Le Pin was the first of the "garage...

NEWS: BORDEAUX 2021 VINTAGE by Pros:What Critics Thinks?

Antonio Galloni, Vinous : "The 2021 Bordeaux have turned out to be such a surprise. Written Notes

This has a firm, seamless and velvety tannin structure, accompanying a deep core of dark plum fruit, peach stones, chocolate and mahogany. Layered and caressing. Supple, yet full and powerful. Silky and smooth at the end. It shows real structure for the vintage and will age really well. 100% merlot

  • 99p

Dark purple colour with violet hue and almost black core. Very refined and elegant nose with slightly closed character, dark berries, hints of violets and subtle oak. On the palate great precision and finesse, ripe tannins, well structured with excellent length. Wonderful fruit in the finish with the typical "sweetness" and an almost Burgundian character.

  • 98p

100% Merlot, 13.4% alcohol. Violets, a scent of black winter truffles, seamless structure, excellent midpalate, vibrancy, refined and sophisticated. The texture was like a liquid cashmere. Hedonistic effort. 95+p.
