Written Notes

Although 2020 is a very hot vintage, Viñedo Chadwick  presents a very refined and noble wine with a rather restrained level of alcohol but an excellent concentration of aroma. It is a pure Cabernet Sauvignon. "Petit Verdot was not needed because the structure of the Cabernet Sauvignon needed no help" says Francisco Baettig. Arguably it is the most delicate Viñedo Chadwick ever, showing a deep crimson colour with violet hue and almost black core. The nose is initially slightly closed but opens up well. The aroma is complex and reminiscent of ripe blackcurrants, dark berries, fine floral hints and refined spiciness. On the palate the wine is well structured in a very elegant style with great tension, distinct minerality, ripe fruit and noble oak in the finish. Another success in a difficult vintage.
