Unfortunately due to damage inflicted by the recent fires in Napa Valley we will not be able to welcome you to Fairwinds Estate Winery. Until we assess our situation fully and explore alternatives we cannot receive visitors. 

No-one was hurt at our property. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors, many of whom have lost their homes and all their belongings. This will change us but it will not reduce us.

Napa Valley’s first vines were planted by a South Carolina man named George Yount in the early 1800’s. As more settlers relocated west, the number of vineyards in the valley steadily increased. By the late 1800’s, annual wine and brandy production reached 1.5 million gallons. The subsequent years saw a decline in planted vineyards due to the combination of the devastating Phylloxera epidemic and the country’s movement towards Prohibition.

Our Winery boasts a selection of well-maintained winemaking equipment ideal for small to mid-sized high-end wine brands. Stainless steel tanks range in size from less than 1,000 gallons to over 6,000 gallons and are either dimple or channel jacketed for glycol chilling.

The current total capacity of the stainless steel tanks is approximately 160,000 gallons.
