WINE TASTING
"The dress is dark and the nose intense with beautiful spices and blackberry notes. On the palate, the attack is generous and mellow, the mid-palate is elegant with thin tannins, long-lasting finish enhanced by spices and coffee notes." - Le Figaro by Bernard Burtschy - 16.5/20

Vintage 2020

In Bordeaux, the heat led to early flowering. Additionally, this led to an early harvest after a very hot summer. As a starting point, there is great maturity in the grapes, and we can expect a more opulent vintage than in recent years.

This year's summer was the hottest since 1959, but the rain fell at just the right time during the growing season. The harvest took place two weeks before the norm and will produce grapes with high alcohol potential and the lowest acidity since the 2003 vintage. As they say in Bordeaux: “It was a good and extreme growing season which , hopefully, also produces great wines.”

Written Notes

Saint-Pierre CC - 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. 13.3% alcohol. No complaints here. It was a beautiful wine with the fragrance of blackcurrants and cherries on the nose, lively and refined midpalate, bright acidity, complex, and a persistent finish. Fine effort. 93+p.

Intense purple colour with violet hue and black core. Quite classic nose with ripe fruit, juicy berries and black cherries. Discreet spiciness and subtle oak. On the palate well balanced with freshness, ripe and velvety tannins, elegant fruit and aromatic finish with very convincing length. A great classic.
