An exceptional single-vineyard cuvée from the "Les Bermonts" lieu-dit in Ambonnay, crafted by Benoît Marguet according to strict biodynamic principles. Unusually for the Ambonnay terroir—which is celebrated for its grand Pinot Noirs—this plot is planted entirely with pure Chardonnay, offering a fascinating and unique expression of this Montagne de Reims Grand Cru.
The nose is captivating, pure, and deeply complex in its minerality. It opens with aromas of Meyer lemon, white peach, acacia flowers, and grapefruit zest, developing into notes of crushed chalk, fresh hazelnut, lemon verbena, and a subtle touch of flinty smoke from masterfully integrated oak aging. On the palate, the wine is a benchmark of tension and density. The entry is direct and incisive, carried by an ultra-fine, delicate effervescence and crystalline acidity. The mid-palate reveals a beautifully fleshy texture without any heaviness, aided by zero dosage (Brut Nature). The finish is masterful, extraordinarily long, saline, and mouthwatering, leaving a striking chalky and iodine-tinged imprint. A Blanc de Blancs from Ambonnay of remarkable purity.
