Vermentino 2023 ($35) – From the Mt Barker sub-region, the grapes spent eight hours on skins and then a slow fermentation in tank. 

A very pale colour with the merest hint of straw. Lifted aromatics here with notes of nuts, river stones, citrus, spices, hazelnuts and a minerally backing. There is vibrant acidity, fine balance and a lingering finish. This is an elegant style of Vermentino and will drink beautifully for the next three to four years. 93.
