The Story
This wine is characterized by a traditional winemaking. After destemming and crushing, moderately long maceration takes place, and, after alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the wines are racked and clarified slightly for transfer into barrels. The wine spends a year in 30.000 liter oak vats and about three years in American oak barrels of different ages. During this time, the wine is racked two or three times which cleans the wine in a natural way, avoiding further treatments. The wine spends three years in bottle before being released to the market.
Appearance: Bright. Cherry-garnet color of medium intensity Red brick color hues. On the nose, it is elegant and intense. Red fruit and licorice notes with flavors of special ripeness and aging: spices, tobacco leaf and vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth, round and balanced. A wine that denotes its Rioja Alta origin with a blending of varieties, characteristic of the wines from the area, that bring balance and freshness to your taste.
