Written Notes

Bodegas Numanthia 2014 /  Ruby with glimmers of violet.Fresh and young, with notes of strawberries and white blossom, the wine is barrel-aged, which brings touches of spice, dulce de leche, fresh rosemary and hints of wild mint. This wine expresses the intensity, power and harmony of Toro’s younger vines – red fruit and aromatic herbs, followed by a long, mellow finish.

The 100% tinta de toro in Termes are grown in vineyards at an average altitude of 700 metres in the villages of Valdefinjas, Morales de Toro, Toro and Venialbo. The 2013 vintage was fairly atypical, with generous and unusual rainfall. Thanks to the balanced temperatures, the grapes ripened slowly and maintained their natural acidity and brightness.

2014 has been a well-balanced harvest in Toro, having had abundant rainfall in April and May, followed by a mild summer.
