Nose: A fragrant lift of a mix of red and dark forest berries, with plum, and a background of savoury and spice nuances, with hints of cinnamon and 5-spice.

Written Notes

The excellent 2021 vintage is reflected in this wine from the Blewett Springs sub-region of McLaren Vale.

A dark maroon hue, the nose gives us black fruits, soy, bay leaves, spices, blackcurrants, garden herbs, black olives and even a hint of axle grease. The oak is deftly handled and integrating well. A supple and seductive texture with bright acidity, fine tannins and decent length here. The freshness and energy are evident. Will drink well into the early years of the next decade. 92.
