The Story

Manuel Raventós Negra, descendent de Josep Maria Raventós i Blanc is the personal selection Manuel Raventós makes of the best wines of the vintage. It is his personal coupage. A signature sparkling wine. For lovers of fresh wines with acidity, structure and volume, tense on the palate, with fine bubbles and aromas of toast and butter. A golden colour.

Vintage 2011

Rioja: Hot, dry weather throughout the summer set the stage for ripe, deeply flavored wines that tend to be low-acid and fruit-forward, with round tannins that will ensure positive aging over at least the coming decade.

Written Notes

Good looking normal size bottle. Colour is straw and medium. On the nose it is open, complex, generous and refined. The taste is ripe, elegant, refined, voluptuous, and dry, and average in acidity, medium-bodied, with well-integrated, balanced structure and developing. On the palate it is layered and has apricot, toasty, white fruits and mineral flavours. The finish is long and lingering. This wine is fine. Perfectly stored bottles are still very worthy and will last well for another 1-5 years.
