Vineyards

Salta is a tropical province in north of Argentina crossed by the Tropic of Capricorn. It is well-known that wines are not produced in these areas due to constant high temperatures.  However, as we go up in elevation, temperature decreases by 1º C every 180 meters. The Valleys are located at 2.000 meters above sea level, situation that makes the low latitude compensate with a higher altitude.

Winemaking

Every year, with grapes of specially selected vineyards from our privileged terroir at the Cafayate Valley, Bodegas Etchart produces its Grand Reserve range. Identified with the name of Bodegas Etchart founder and produced mainly from varieties such as Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Tannat of the highest quality. Arnaldo B results in a wine of great body aged 18 month in French oak barrels and, afterwards, 12 months in bottle in our cellars.
