Viña Leyda is located at the west side of the Coastal Mountain Range of Chile, just 7 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean and 95 kilometres west of Santiago. The frost free growing season in the valley stands out for its cool weather conditions, with maximum temperatures between 24-25 º C and a daily temperature variation of 12-13ºC during summer. Ocean mist clears up early in the morning allowing ample sunny days with high luminosity and a relative humidity of 60%.
As a consequence of these climatic characteristics the ripening period occurs at a slow pace, which leads to the correct development of pure fruity aromas, flavours, minerality and a perfect balance of sugar level and acidity in the grapes. Single blocks receiving different levels of sunlight, results in a variety of ripeness and unique characteristics from each vineyard.
