History

The story of the Villa Russiz estate begins with the marriage of Elvine Ritter von Zahony, a noble woman from Gorizia, and daughter of Hektor and Amalia Rittmayer, who head a dynasty of Evangelical industrialists originally from Germany, to Theodor Karl Leopold Anton de La Tour en Voivrè, the representative of an ancient, noble French family of Catholic faith, on 15 February 1868.
